We are looking for an HSE officer for the office in Heijningen.
Organization
As a Senior HSE Officer, you will be part of the Site Support Team consisting of six professionals. In this role, your responsibility is to take our site safety to the next level by putting our safety plan into action and promoting HSE awareness on site.
Function
- You will act as a leader in work risk assessments and incident investigation, investigating and reporting unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, near misses and incidents;
- You will issue Work Permits and monitor permit implementation in the workplace and assist in the implementation and compliance of Occupational Safety and Health (BHV);
- Acting as Safety Advisor Transport of Dangerous Goods (ADR);
- Supervising the storage and handling of dangerous goods and waste;
- Coordinating safety training for all personnel;
- Organizing and chairing monthly safety meetings;
- Providing new colleagues and visitors with Basic Safety Induction;
- Conducting daily safety rounds and maintaining a log of findings as appropriate.
Requirements
- You have a can-do mentality and a strong sense of responsibility;
- You have worked as an HSE officer on busy sites or construction sites and have excellent communication skills;
- You have the ability to bring people together, have a helicopter view and are accessible to employees of all levels in the organization;
- The work experience you have gained will allow you to start work immediately at the HBO level;
- You have MBO-4 diploma in Safety Science, supplemented by a NEBOSH certification or equivalent;
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience;
- Experience in writing policies and procedures for safety, health and environmental reports;
- Qualification in performing data analysis and reporting statistics;
- Excellent knowledge of legislation and procedures;
- Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
