To support their continued growth and uphold their commitment to operational excellence, we are currently seeking an experienced and proactive SHE-Q Manager to join their leadership team.
Organization
The SHE-Q Manager will serve as the independent safety authority within the organization, reporting directly to the Managing Director. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the companys safety, health, environmental, and quality standards across all global operations. The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on support, ensuring compliance, driving improvements, and fostering a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
SHE-Q Leadership
- Develop, implement, and manage an integrated SHE-Q Management System.
- Report on SHE-Q performance and recommend strategic improvements.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
- Conduct internal audits and lead investigations of incidents and near misses.
Advisory & Training
- Act as the go-to expert on SHE-Q matters across all departments.
- Provide training and coaching on safety and quality procedures.
- Ensure emergency and contingency plans are in place and up to date.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with operational, technical, and procurement teams.
- Liaise with external regulatory bodies and client SHE-Q representatives.
- Monitor subcontractor SHE-Q compliance and support improvement initiatives.
- Lead regular SHE-Q meetings and site safety inspections.
Candidate Profile
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- At least 10 years of experience in the offshore or marine industry.
- A minimum of 10 years in safety management roles.
- Relevant academic background and completed safety training/seminars.
- Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Valid UKOOA / SSOM medical certification.
- Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage change and drive continuous improvement.
Technical Knowledge
- Familiar with Corporate Management Systems and emergency procedures.
- Experience with quality assurance documentation and safety audits.
- Competent in developing and updating SHE-Q and HRM documentation.
Additional Administrative Scope
This is a broad role that also includes general administrative and organizational responsibilities:
- Office administration and facility oversight
- Supporting senior management with scheduling and internal communication
- Assisting with marketing, website content, and event logistics
- Coordinating travel arrangements and external exhibitions
- Providing backup for project planning and procurement
