Role Overview
Are you a hands-on technician with expertise in cable installation equipment or similar technical systems? Do you thrive in an environment where you can combine practical technical work with operational coordination? We are looking for a Technician / Yard Manager to take ownership of equipment maintenance, modifications, and yard operations.
You will be responsible for organizing and performing planned maintenance, overseeing yard logistics, supporting remote mobilisations, and assisting offshore operations with technical queries. The role requires close collaboration with project and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of offshore activities.
Primary location: Yard facility in Rotterdam (RHB)
Secondary location: Office in The Hague
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain offshore equipment and materials at the yard
- Conduct and coordinate preventive maintenance activities
- Maintain stock inventory and technical databases (e.g., spare parts, maintenance logs)
- Support project-specific equipment modifications
- Coordinate equipment mobilisation and demobilisation processes
- Provide remote technical support to ongoing operations

Candidates profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field
- At least 5 years of hands-on technical experience (preferably with tensioners, carousels, loading towers)
- Offshore work experience is a strong advantage
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (AutoCAD knowledge is a plus)
- Solid understanding of hydraulics and electrical systems
- Basic PLC/software knowledge (Siemens, Bachmann) preferred
- Mechanical knowledge of vessel/barge outfitting is an asset
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Strong awareness and adherence to QHSE standards
- Willing to work 12-hour shifts during mobilisations/demobilisations (34 times per year)
- Valid drivers license (Category B)
